The iD Tech AI & Machine Learning Academy offers an intensive, pre-college experience where high school students delve into the latest AI technology using the NVIDIA® Jetson Orin Nano™. Participants will learn Python coding, neural networks, and machine learning concepts through hands-on projects. The curriculum focuses on building image recognition models that can identify objects or track poses and movement, utilizing various machine learning datasets and tools. Students will also explore AI ethics, privacy, and responsible design through thoughtful discussions. The program culminates in the development of a final project for submission to NVIDIA® for official review and certification, providing a valuable portfolio-boosting credential for college applications and future careers. Successfully completed projects receive an official certificate, and students get to take their Jetson Orin Nano™ home to continue their work.
A typical day includes 5-6 hours of instruction in labs, mastering new tech skills and collaborating with peers, balanced with 2 hours of outdoor activities and socializing to experience campus life. Evenings may include refining projects, board games, or video game tournaments.
